I’m Janelle Van Houw, an Atlanta-based photographer with roots in Colorado (which will always feel like home). I’ve lived in Atlanta for several years now, so I guess that makes me officially bi-regional… or just really good at calling two places home.

I’ve been doing photography professionally for 16 years, which means I’ve seen it all — happy tears, awkward laughs, unpredictable weather, and those perfect moments that happen when no one’s trying too hard. I love capturing life as it actually happens, not the stiff, overly posed stuff. The real smiles, the in-between moments, and the beautifully imperfect experiences are my favorite.

Basically, if it’s meaningful, joyful, or a little bit chaotic, I’m probably already reaching for my camera.
